Frequently Asked Questions
What is a Young Living Member number (also known as a Wholesale or Retail Member number)?
A Member number is simply an identification number Young Living assigns to all its Members. It allows Young Living to track sales, and reward Wholesale Members for their effort. When joining Young Living, a Member number is required in both the “Sponsor ID” and “Enroller ID” fields.
Why does Young Living require Social Security Numbers for Wholesale Members, but not Retail Customers, in the United States of America?
Social Security Numbers are only required for Wholesale Members because they have an opportunity to earn commission. The Internal Revenue Service requires that the commission be reported to them. Young Living is dedicated to protecting individual’s information, and once entered into their system only a few necessary employees have access to the information. It is not accessible to ANY Wholesale Members, or Retail Customers.
