Do the words VIGOR and VITALITY describe your life?
Not your life compared to someone else, but your life compared to what you want to be living? Vigor and Vitality don’t happen on accident, it takes purposeful effort and planned action steps. The flip side of that is true as well, no effort, no action steps, equals no vigor or vitality. Especially as you age. You can only coast for so long before a lifetime of poor choices and no health maintenance catch up to you.
Restore your core! Start supporting the most basic of building blocks: your cells.
Healthy cells=>Healthy tissues=>healthy organs=>healthy organ systems=>healthy body.
1. Start with what you are feeding your cells. You truly are what you eat. I personally shoot for 80% good 20% cheat. Food was intended to be enjoyed! And as I journey further into this new way of life, I find myself enjoying things I never dreamed I would find pleasurable. But I still like my cake and cookies on occasion as well. I also supplement with things I know to be full of dense nutrition and highly bio-available. Meaning power packed nutrition that my cells can use immediately. Things like NingXia Red, Nitro, True Source Vitamins.
2. Minimize your cells exposure to and the effects of toxins. Our main source of toxins is typically from the products we use in our daily routine. Personal care products and household cleaners are the biggest offenders here. And they are so easy to change. Change up your skin care to a toxin free line like Young Livings ART system. Change up your cleaning products to the Thieves Cleaner line. If you choose not to afford those, use coconut oil and an Essential Oil of your choice for your skin. Use vinegar and water and an essential oil like Thieves to clean with.
3. Reduce the effects of stress and negative emotions. Let it go…..let it go………… Find ways to rest your body! Rest your mind! Just because you sleep each night doesn’t necessarily mean you are resting. If you are waking up tired, you may need a relaxing oil to help your mind turn off while you sleep. Lavender and Tranquil roll-on are my personal favorites. You might also try yoga or exercise to help reduce the effects of the negative emotions we all deal with from time to time. Release blend is great if you have a lot of conflict in your life that you need help to Let it go……..Let it go……..
4. Replace conventional medicines with effective and timely natural solutions. Never do this without your physician’s knowledge. If your doctor won’t dialog with your about trying natural alternatives, find a new doctor. You care more about your own health than your doctor ever will. If he/she won’t work with you and dialog about alternative courses of action for a health concern find one that will.
Did you know though, that as you focus on feeding your cells nourishing restorative nutrients, minimizing toxins, and reducing your stress this 4th one will often begin to balance on its own. Restore your core!
A Young Living lifestyle is so much more than just ditching the drug store and REPLACING drugs with oils. My goal is to not have symptoms of disease that need to be dealt with. My goal is to start at the cellular level and restore my core. I choose a healthy diet. I choose essential oil infused supplements to round out the nutrients missing in our food source. I choose toxin free, essential oil based cleaners. I use essential oils to ease times of stress and help with restful restorative sleep. Since doing this I find I don’t need the conventional medicines I used to reach for. Because my cells are healthy my body doesn’t get sick.
There is no hocus-pocus here. There is nothing that will allow you to wake up one day and have a lifetime of poor habits erased. However, you can begin today to turn your future in a whole new direction. Are you ready to turn yourself around?
